sADLY ENOUGH, IT’S MORE REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE TO BECOME AS ONE OF THE GODS THAT HAS BEEN LOST TO THOSE STILL CALLING THEMSELVES THE ELECT. THIS VERY TRUTH RIGHT HERE IS THE REASON WE LOSE THAT WHICH HAS BEEN GIVEN. IT IS THE VERY KNOWLEDGE AND COMMANDMENT NECESSARY TO KEEP OURSELVES AND OUR CHURCH IN CHECK. PEOPLE STOP BELIEVING d&c 93:1 IS EVEN POSSIBLE, THEY SLACK IN OBEDIENCE TO RESTORED LAW AND DOCTRINES AND DOWNWARD WE GO, SLOWLY BUT SURELY, WITHOUT REALLY NOTICING IT. WE FALL INTO BLIND COMPLACENCY, THINKING ALL IS WELL, THAT WE HAVE ALL WE NEED TO EXALT OURSELVES AND POSTERITY… AND THAT OLD ADDAGE IN d&c WILL COME TO PASS WHEN THE lORD SAYS DEPART, FOR I NEVER KNEW YOU, EVEN THOUGH YOU THINK SO.

I guess this also pertains to the true order of prayer which supposedly was outlawed in the homes of the saints, as if a man or group of men could forbid that which the endowment proscribes.

I don’t think that many really relate to the structure of the post. What kind of an alter? How big should it be? How do we approach it? How do we use it?

I know that the early brethren taught us that we were to have one in our home but after 80 years of neglect the average person needs more information on the details of how, where and why, not just to be told that they are supposed to have one.

Perhaps a post on this would be applicable.

Just my two cents, which with possible hyperinflation might be worth even less then we think.=)

I find it odd, and this isn’t a knock on anyone, that this is the third post I have made along these lines, and I have yet to receive much response. In fact, looking at the hits and stats, they rearely get read.

Yet, they are the very means of communicating with God, perhaps the most important thing we have is that connection. Again, not a knock, but perhaps simply i think to highly of this idea!
